What to Expect

Here is what to expect on your first visit!

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, asked to fill out a new client information form (see link below to fill it out in advance), and then invited into an examination room. We strive to see all of our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times when the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.

Once in the exam room, you will be asked some preliminary questions about your pet’s history by one of our professional veterinary nurses. They will also take your pet’s weight and temperature while continuing to gather important pertinent clinical information about your pet for the veterinarian.  One of our veterinarians will then perform an examination on your pet, answer any questions you may have, and prepare a treatment plan with further diagnostic or treatment recommendations as necessary.  Depending on the nature of your visit, you may see an exam room nurse again to provide you with further educational information and answer routine wellness and care questions for you.  Our friendly, efficient receptionists will then prepare any prescriptions if needed, prepare and present your invoice and schedule any needed follow-up care appointments.

Please print out a copy of our “New Client Form” ahead of time and bring it in with you and your pet on your first visit!
