Harbor Animal Hospital in the Community

Throughout the year, we provide veterinary care for ill and injured wildlife brought to us by South Bay Wildlife Rehab. South Bay Wildlife Rehab is a non-profit organization dedicated to caring for California native wildlife and educating the public about the natural world. They rehabilitate over a thousand sick, injured and orphaned birds and land mammals for return to the wild every year. For more information their web address is www.sbwr.org , or they an be reached at 310-378-9921.

In December we are proud to support our marines as a drop-off center for Toys-For-Tots. We offer our clients a complimentary bath when they bring in an unwrapped, new toy valued at $25 for donation. During the Holiday Season, we encourage our clients to support our community’s pets who need homes and children who wouldn’t otherwise receive a gift during the holidays. To help the children, we offer a free bath to any pet when their owner brings a new toy into the hospital. These toys are donated to the Toys-For-Tots organization. Please check with us in early December to find out which week has been designated for these donations. We are proud to join other service providers in Torrance to provide for our community.

We are proud of our veterinary facility, advanced equipment and staff, and are happy to share them with local scout troops and school field trips. Please consider visiting our practice and having a guided tour! If you would like to bring a classroom, or scout troop, just let us know in advance, and we will make arrangements for a “Behind the Scenes” tour with our doctors and staff.

We also support SPARE, an animal rescue group that works near Torrance out of the Carson Shelter. For a donation of $1.00 you can place an ornament on our holiday tree with your pet’s name on it. All the proceeds from these donations go directly to “SPARE” to help rescue and place dogs and cats who are in need of homes.
