Dr. Lauren Norby’s High Flying Hobby!

AerialPic03This blog, written by Dr. Norby,  goes totally outside of veterinary medicine and takes us into the cirque world!

Close to 2 years ago, I tagged along with my sister and youngest niece to a mommy & me aerial class.  That inspired me to actually sign up for classes at a nearby studio in the south bay. I have been hooked ever since!  I train mainly on 4 different types of apparatus, including tissu (silk), Lyra (hoop), aerial hammock and static trapeze.  Additionally, I complement my aerial training with yoga that uses the hammock!   Aerial is definitely challenging but this is something that anyone can do and is such a wonderfully fun way to stay in shape!
